The Glenview Naval Air Station site is located 18 miles north of Chicago, approximately two miles east of the Tri-State Tollway (Interstate Highway 294) and two miles west of the Eden’s Expressway (Highway 94). The site is served by Willow Road (36,000 cars daily) and Lake Avenue to the south, connected by Patriot Boulevard (estimating 28,000 cars daily).

The Glen Town Center is located in the influential North Shore trade area servicing the communities of Glenview, Northbrook, Deerfield, Northfield, Winnetka, Wilmette and Glencoe.

Formerly the Glenview Naval Air Station, The Glen Town Center is anchored by Von Maur Department Store and Dick’s Sporting Goods, and is home to Kerasotes Glen 10 Theatres, The Book Market at Hangar One and high-end specialty retailers. The Glen Town Center is located approximately 6 miles from Westfield Old Orchard and Northbrook Court Shopping Centers

Glenview is home to the corporate headquarters of Kraft USA, Anixter International, and Illinois Tool Works in which the employment profile for Executive/Professional categories is 45.2% versus 27.6% in Cook County and 26.5% nationwide. Other major employers include Avon and Scott Foresman/ Addison Wesley.

Glenbrook South High School is one of the most highly rated schools in the country with 92% of its students continuing on to college.

With a dense population of 360,861 (honoring a fifteen-minute drive radius), Glenview’s average household income is in excess of $100,000.

Glenview is primarily residential: 54% of the Village’s land area is dedicated to single-family housing, with a median home value of $233,400. A 1,000,000 square foot office park, developed by Catellus, is underway at The Glen, expecting a workforce of 5,000 people upon completion.

A new commuter rail station (Metra) is on site with parking for 1500 cars.

1600 single family homes, condominiums, town-homes and high-end apartments will house an excess of 4,000 people at The Glen. A 150-acre Great Park with 54-acre lake, boardwalk, boathouse, playgrounds, gardens, fountains and athletic fields are all incorporated at The Glen along with a new $20 million Park District Recreation Center with a pre-school area, swimming facilities, a senior citizen center, and other recreational facilities.
