Daniel A. Nishikawa

President, Pacific Rim & Managing Director

Dan Nishikawa brings over 22 years of significant and diversified commercial real estate experience to OliverMcMillan.
Mr. Nishikawa holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from Cal State University Long Beach.  For the first 10+ years of his career, Dan worked on the General Contracting and Construction Management side of the business for Peck/Jones and Koll Construction as a Project Manager and Executive on many large retail, office, residential and hospitality projects in Southern California.  Retail projects that he managed include the historic, city block restoration of “One Colorado” in Old Town Pasadena, and the five-story flagship store for “Barney’s New York” in Beverly Hills.  Dan also worked for 2 years as Development Manager for Cove Development, where he worked on entitlements and development of two industrial parks, just prior to the end of the real estate “boom” in the late 1980’s.
While working for McClier as Vice President, Dan was recruited to start the Construction Department for Fremont Investment and Loan’s Commercial Real Estate Division.  With his construction and development experience, he built the Construction Department and he was instrumental in developing the construction lending program – which became the core business for Fremont nationwide.  After nine years of construction financing experience with Fremont, Dan was a Senior Vice President in charge of Construction, Asset Management, Special Assets, and Loan Servicing Departments, which had a commercial real estate portfolio with over 300 loans and commitments in excess of $10 billion.
Prior to joining OliverMcMillan, Dan served as President of Woodridge Capital, LLC, an entrepreneurial development company headquartered in Century City with significant retail, residential and land development projects in California, Hawaii, Texas and Canada.  As President, he was responsible for operations and project management, and he was actively involved with acquisitions and financing.
Dan has been an active member of Urban Land Institute, and he serves on the building committees for the Japanese American National Museum and the Go for Broke National Educational Foundation.  Dan also attended law school at Pepperdine University.
