River Oaks District Signs New Restaurant, Retailers
Houston Business Journal
The River Oaks District has announced three more retailers and a new restaurant that plan to open in the luxury shopping center this year.
The luxury mixed-use development will add SumoMaya Mexican-Asian Kitchen, which focuses on Latin American and Far East tapas-style dishes.
The new stores include:
Nars Cosmetics, a beauty brand featuring cosmetic and skincare lines.
Roberta Roller Rabbit, a resort-inspired brand for men, women, children and the home.
St. Bernard, a ski, snowboard and outdoor apparel retailer.
Previously announced retail tenants that will also open this year include Akris, Anne Fontaine, Davidoff of Geneva and Harry Winston.
When the River Oaks District opened in October, the retail component was 85 percent leased, with 95 of the tenants being new to Houston. The mixed-use project was developed by San Diego, California-based Oliver McMillan and is slated to include retail, office and living space.
Since then, other high-end retailers and restaurants have opened in the center.
Equinox, a full-service fitness club out of New York, opened in the River Oaks District in December, and the upscale iPic movie theater opened the month prior.
Bonobos Guideshop has opened its first Houston location of the New York-based men's clothing store, while France-based Cartier was the first store to open in the center in September.
Just days after the grand opening, Austin-based Hopdoddy Burger Bar and two retailers also announced plans to open in the shopping center.
