Hip Clothing Store Sets Houston Opening Date and is Ready to Party with True Detective Co-Star
Get ready to shop. And party.
Intermix has set the opening date for its first Houston store. The women's specialty retailer featuring a mix of well-known and emerging designers plans to open in the River Oak District on October 1. A big by-invitation-only party will take place on October 13, hosted by Melissa Mithoff, Lucinda Loya and Houston native, True Detective co-star Leven Rambin. (She played Rachel McAdams sister on the hit HBO series.)
The boutique is one of a slew of new stores to open in the mixed-use center on Westheimer just inside Loop 610 during the month of October. Cartier leads the way in opening its new boutique there on September 3.
Currently under construction, the Intermix store will feature an open, loft-like space with a soft palette of creams and light woods accented with blackened steel fixtures and a light stained oak ceiling punctuated by deep vaults. The accessories and denim areas will be set off by slatted screens of light wood and intermittent brushed stainless steel.
The store will feature a wide array of hip fashion from such labels as Derek Lam 10 Crosby, Rag & Bone, Jonathan Simkhai, Marissa Webb, IRO, Barbara Bui, Sergio Rossi and Aquazurra.
Founded in 1993 and acquired by Gap in 2012, Intermix operates 42 stores across North America, including at Dallas Northpark.
