Warby Parker Joins Tenant Mix at Buckhead Atlanta
Atlanta Business Chronicle

By Amy Wenk A New York City-based eyewear retailer is planning a boutique at Buckhead Atlanta. San Diego developer Oliver McMillan recently filed plans for Warby Parker, which offers trendy glasses at more affordable prices. Its store will take a spot facing Buckhead Avenue at the 8-acre mixed-use project, the redevelopment of a former bar district in the heart of Buckhead. The retailer says its glasses start at $95. “Warby Parker was conceived as an alternative to the overpriced and bland eyewear available today,” says the company on its website. “Prescription eyewear should not cost a fortune.” Warby Parker, named after characters in Jack Kerouac’s personal journals, sells online and has just a handful of stores today across the country. The Buckhead Atlanta location will be its first in Georgia. Atlanta Business Chronicle has confirmed several other tenants coming to the project: - Fashion retailers L’Occitane, Moncler and Canali - Italian cashmere maker Brunello Cucinelli - Luxury Italian label Etro - Fashion boutique Scoop NYC - Ten restaurants including upscale French bistro Le Bilboquet - Atlanta underwear company Spanx
