Trendy New York City-based eyewear Warby Parker will be opening a boutique at Buckhead Atlanta in a storefront location facing Buckhead Avenue, according to recently filed plans with the city of Atlanta by developer OliverMcMillan. Warby Parker, which “was conceived as an alternative to the overpriced and bland eyewear available today,” according to its website, offers trendy glasses at more affordable prices. The retailer says its glasses start at $95. The retailer’s website states, “Prescription eyewear should not cost a fortune.” Warby Parker, named after characters in Jack Kerouac’s personal journals, sells online and has just a handful of stores today across the country. The Buckhead Atlanta location will be its first in Georgia.
