MORGAN DENE OLIVER

Dene Oliver is the Chief Executive Officer of OliverMcMillan. Dene
was born in San Diego and a graduate of the University of California
at Berkeley where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate
and Urban Land Economics from the School of Business Administration. After
completing an undergraduate degree, he attended and graduated from the
University of Southern California School of Law, and attended the University
of Southern California Graduate School of Business Administration. In
1978, after practicing law in the areas of real estate business law,
Dene founded OliverMcMillan. OliverMcMillan is headquartered in
San Diego with offices in Chicago, Seattle and Ontario. In its
twenty-nine year history, OliverMcMillan has designed, developed and/or
managed 8,000,000 square feet of office, commercial, industrial, residential,
retail, research and development and mixed-use projects with a total
project value in excess of $1.2 Billion. It has been continually
recognized for producing major design award-winning projects throughout
the United States and was recently awarded Urban Land Institute’s
Grand Award for Best Mixed Use Master Development for The Glen Town Center
in Glenview, Illinois. OliverMcMillan is currently working on over
$2 billion of new mixed-use projects, including a $700 million development
in Houston, Texas, multiple urban loft projects in San Diego, a 1.7 million
square foot mixed-use project in Ontario, California, 200 riverfront
acres in Everett, Washington and a second town center project in suburban
Chicago.
Dene has been active in both professional and community organizations. Dene
is a member of ICSC and the Urban Land Institute and is frequently asked
to speak at various industry-related organizations. He was also
appointed by the San Diego City Council to the Board of Directors of
the $200 million San Diego Convention Center where he served as President
and Chairman of the Board of the San Diego Convention Center Corporation
and was the founding Chairman of the Expansion Committee of the San Diego
Convention Center that completed a $300 million expansion. The
Downtown San Diego Partnership awarded him the Founders Award in 1997
and the Humanitarian Award in 2001. Dene was a member of the 1995
America’s Cup Board of Directors and currently chairs the San Diego
County 10 Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness.
